Almond Butter

So yesterday I tried to make something I have wanted to try for a long time

-ALMOND BUTTER-

I have had this expectation of it being super complicated to make, and when I’ve seen it in the shop it has been very expensive to buy. And with my student finance it has not been an option.

But yesterday I did some research and all you need is ALMONDS!!! That’s it… almonds:) If you want to use other types of nuts, that you might have in your cupboard, that’s totally cool as well.

This type of blender is not really strong enough for making almond butter, I broke mine by the end of it:/ Ha!

Blend for 3 minutes and it should look something like this, fine chopped almonds

Keep on blending, the longer you blend, the more oil comes out of the nuts

When it looks like this it’s done! But to be honest, you can never blend it for too long. All together this takes about 15 minutes bake the almonds and another 15 minutes to blend

Poor it in to a container, store in the fridge and use it on porridge or is you make cookies or on toast with bananas:)

Tomorrow I’ll post about a super quick and delicious beef and spinach salad a total winner!
